Staff Accompanist I

15 hours per week
Salary Commensurate with Experience

Mount Olive Baptist Church in Glen Allen, Virginia is seeking a well-rounded, self-motivated part-time musician to play the piano/keyboard/organ in various worship services with other musicians of the church while providing assistance to the Adult Choir and the Men’s Choir.  The Staff Accompanist I will work collaboratively with the Staff Accompanist II to provide worship experiences in music while fulfilling the vision and mission of the church.  This position will report directly to the Pastor.

The Staff Accompanist I will play the piano, organ and/or keyboard for one church service on Sunday as well as other designated church services and events held at the church and outside engagements when needed.  The Staff Accompanist I will also play for weekly choir rehearsals and for other rehearsals as needed for the adult choir and the men’s choir. The Staff Accompanist I will also be responsible for praise and worship during services.

The successful candidate must have training and skills in piano/keyboard/organ and must be able to play a variety of music to support assigned to the Adult Choir and Men’s Choir.

Part-Time Custodian

15 hours per week
Salary Commensurate with Experience

Mount Olive Baptist Church is seeking a part-time Custodian during the morning hours from Monday – Friday, 9 A.M. – 12 P.M. Duties include but are not limited to: opening and/or closing church buildings in accordance with scheduled activities and or events, keeping the church buildings and grounds clean.

Preferred candidate should possess previous custodian and/or sexton experience as well as experience in operating a floor buffer.  A Criminal History Background Check is required.
